Making an Impact for The Humane Society

Inspired by the movie “Paw Patrol”, Warehouse Cinemas wanted to connect with a local charity, Humane Society of Frederick County, to give back to the community. On August 22nd, we hosted a small fundraising event with a game area for families to enjoy and add to their moviegoing experience. Frederick County Public School’s Officer Carrado and her service pup, Nevada, were present for the event as the VIP guests. There was also a red carpet against one of our branded backdrops so children could take photos with Nevada.

Through the month of August, we were able to enable a “Roundup and Donate” campaign with our staff at concessions. There was a button on each register the cashier push to add to the customer's total after being asked “Would you like to round up and donate to the Frederick County Humane Society?” and we had an excellent turnout. Warehouse Cinemas raised $2,193.65 because of this campaign; it was amazing to see so many people in the community give back to charity.

Laurie Robb, Community Liason Manager at Warehouse Cinemas Frederick says "This was an inspiring event, and we look forward to hosting another “Roundup and Donate” campaign soon for other local organizations in the community".
